Sometimes I find it so hard to believe where my first year in my modelling journey has gone. So much has happened in such a short space of time and every now and then I still have to pinch myself, just to make sure I am not dreaming.

Modelling for me, is my way of escaping from the slog of day to day life. It's a world of beauty and creativity where the only limitations are the boundaries you set yourself. Truly you can achieve so much, and I have met many lovely wonderfully creative people who share my passion for art.

As I look back at where I began, you wouldn't believe I was the same person, the difference is insane!! I've had a lot of set backs along the way, but yet I carry on holding my head high and aiming for the stars.

It's been a whirlwind of an adventure so far from my initial test shoot, to studio nights, modelling on a floating catwalk, to staring in a new TV series, and now having my own company..... Stay tuned swifty fans, this is only the beginning

Having recently been introduced to the modelling world and Swifty Productions, I have a better understanding on what it takes to create these images in the magazines on the shelves and spread across the internet… It’s a weird and wonderful world full of creative people, where your only limited to what’s in your imagination, which really does excite me as I have a very over active imagination and ideas constantly popping in my head.

Growing up I was involved in a lot of acting and stage performances which I loved, After doing a lot of travelling around the world and experiencing different cultures I’m excited to get back into the performing frame of mind. I’ve always been a very friendly and sociable person which I think helps a great deal in this industry also my mind set of giving 100% in everything I do.

In my spare time I can be found doing various different activities from mountain biking, rock climbing, mountaineering to slack lining which also keep me in good shape. I am a bit of an adrenaline junkie, usually up for anything which gets the heart racing from 60ft cliff jumps into the sea, 200m canyon swings in New Zealand to flying down mountains on my bike…

Paul Mellor

Photopiece Photography was conceived in early 2008 when I decided to extend my long-standing passion for photography. The opportunity to photograph a large charity concert in Nottingham was all that was needed to get the ball rolling, and the success of that concert led to opportunities to expand my services into other concerts, black-tie events and portraiture.
Significant investments in equipment followed, all geared towards giving better images and an even better service - a philosophy that shows no sign of slowing down.

Photopiece now specialises in portrait, fashion and event photography, with a smattering of commercial and landscape work too.

I also partner with award-winning photographer Ashley Franklin in a joint-venture wedding photography business; Paul Ashley Photography.

David J Severn

After over 35 years involvement in photography, working for newspapers, event photography, studio and commercial, plus a dabble with scientific, I have learnt one thing that stand out above all else vision and knowledge is more important that what you use to take that image.

I love seeing the realisation on peoples faces once they know what all the buttons do and mean, Learning the basics which in all honesty isn't hard, if I can do it anyone can, it makes for spending less time at a computer messing with images and more time taking, Which is the healthier option sat at a computer looking at photoshop or wandering around the countryside taking some pictures?

At present I run Studio 3 by Severn in Long Eaton, most of the time is spent shooting commercial work for the motor trade, with a max of 6 weddings a year for David J Severn Photography.

I have a few sayings that I use with regard photography
1 The only obsticle is you
2 Its the 6 inches behind the camera thats more important than the mm infront
3 Keep life in Focus

Karen Gavin

I've loved photography ever since my children were born but it remained just a hobby up until 2009 when I decided I wanted to do more than teach.

I combined my experience with children with my photography, starting with photographing playgroups and dance shows.

I soon progressed onto Charity events, Proms and Black Tie Balls. Then in 2013 I decided to leave teaching to concentrate solely on photography and to set up my own studio to give me more time to capture the unique personalities of both children and adults in their portraits.

I mainly focus on portrait photography, from babies and children to teens, adults and whole families. From professional models who need that something special for their portfolio to mum's who deserve a pampering makeover shoot.

Victor Gavin

I was born and raised in Scotland then moved to Yorkshire after university to pursue a career in I.T.

I've loved photography since leaving university, first borrowing cameras and then getting my own. I started out taking anything and everything from wildlife to landscapes to family, learning as I went along.

Around 2009 I started taking dance shows commercially; I really enjoy the challenge of the stage lighting and of capturing the movement of the dancers as well as the emotion of the singers and actors individually and as an ensemble.
From that beginning I progressed onto Charity events, Proms and Black Tie Balls.
I love collaborating with models; working on a story, setting up the scenes, working out the poses and creating the lighting needed for the "vision".
